August 12th, 2010 - Sunday School Picnic
On Sunday, August 29th, we will be having a Sunday School picnic immediately following the morning services. Everyone is invited to attend as we enjoy games and fun activities at Stanley Park in Westfield. Each family is asked to “bring your own” picnic lunch. Please contact Pastor Dan with any quesitons.
June 26th, 2010 - July 4th Patriotic Service
On Sunday, July 4th, please join us as we celebrate Independence Day during our regularly scheduled morning services (9:45am - Sunday School / 10:45am - Morning worship & Children’s church) followed by a picnic lunch. An afternoon service will begin at 2:00pm.
June 26th, 2010 - Summer Sunday Services
Beginning Sunday, June 27th, Chester Baptist Church will be meeting at 17 River Front Street in Chester, MA. We praise the Lord for providing this location for us due to the unavailability of the Chester Elementary School during consolidation. Regularly scheduled services begin at 9:45am (Sunday School), 10:45am (Morning worship & Children’s church), and 6:00pm (Evening service). Wednesday evening services begin at 6:00pm. May 27th, 2010 - Crown College Men’s Quartet - June 10th
We invite you to attend a special mid-week service coming up on June 10th. The Crown College Men’s Quartet will be with us from Powell, Tennessee. Bro. Bob Crichton will be leading the group and preaching during the service. The service begins at 7:00pm at the Chester Elementary School, 325 Middlefield Road, Chester. April 17th, 2010 - 4th Anniversary Celebration!
Chester Baptist Church is excited to announce our upcoming anniversary services on Sunday, April 25th. Throughout the day, we will seek to praise the LORD for all He has done during the past 4 years of ministry here in Chester, and we are looking forward to a wonderful time together. The day will begin with coffee and light refreshments at 9:30am followed by Sunday School for all ages at 9:45am. Morning worship and children’s church begins at 10:45am.
A special evening service at 6:00pm includes special music from the high school hand bell and vocal choirs from Emmanuel Christian Academy, Newington, Connecticut. Refreshments will be served following the evening service, and we welcome visitors! All Sunday services are held at the Chester Elementary School, 325 Middlefield Road, Chester. February 22nd, 2010 - New Year update
Praise the Lord for the great start He has given us to the new year, and for the many opportunities we have had to be an effective testimony for Him. Our theme this year is “Building up your faith,” taken from Jude 20-21, “But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.“ We praise the Lord for two members that have recently been added to Chester Baptist Church, and for the great spirit of unity that God has given. December 14th, 2009 - Christmas Sunday
Chester Baptist Church invites the community to celebrate Christmas during our upcoming services on Sunday, December 20th. Beginning at 9:45am the children’s Sunday School class will present a special Christmas program followed by coffee and light refreshments. At 10:45am a special Christmas service will include favorite Christmas hymns, readings, and a message from Pastor Dan Herr entitled, “Glory to the newborn King.” Children’s church is available for ages 10 and under, and nursery is provided during all services. November 16th, 2009 - November Events
On Friday, November 20th, Youth Night for ages 12 and up will be held from 6:30pm to 9:00pm. Many activities are planned, including fun games, team competitions, and free food.
On Sunday, November 22nd, Chester Baptist Church invites the community to celebrate Thanksgiving during our annual Thanksgiving Sunday. The day begins at 9:45am with Sunday School for all ages followed by Morning Worship / Children’s church at 10:45am. A delicious Thanksgiving dinner will be served at 12:15pm followed by an afternoon service at 2:00pm. All are welcome. Chester Baptist Church meets at the new Chester Elementary School, 325 Middlefield Road. Transportation is available. October 19th, 2009 - October Events
Youth Night for ages 12+ will be held on Friday, October 23rd from 6:30pm to 9:00pm at the new Chester Elementary School. All area youth are invited to attend this fun-filled evening, including games, team competitions, and free food.
On Sunday, October 25th, please join us for Sunday School at 9:45am, Morning worship at 10:45am, and Sunday evening worship at 6:00pm. Special guest, Miss Jamie Rowe, missionary to Peru, will be providing deaf interpretation throughout the day and presenting her missionary work during the evening service. On Saturday, October 31st, youth ages 12 and up are invited to attend youth night at Galilean Baptist Church in Stafford Springs, CT from 3:00pm to 7:00pm. Free transportation is available. For more information, please contact Pastor Dan.
September 6th, 2009 - September Events
Chester Baptist Church invites families and friends to visit on Sunday, September 13th. Sunday School for all ages begins at 9:45am followed by Morning worship & Children’s church at 10:45am. At noon, a Sunday School picnic is planned with fun for the whole family, including big ball volley ball, badminton, kid’s games, and more. An old fashioned afternoon service will conclude the day’s activities.
On Friday, September 18th, all youth ages 12 and up are invited to attend youth night from 6:30pm to 9:00pm. Activities include fun games, team competitions, free pizza, and more.
